New York Rhythmic Gymnastics combines elements of gymnastics, ballet, acrobatics and dance. Our gymnasts master the use of various apparatus: rope, ball hoop, clubs and ribbon. If your child likes gymnastics, dance and music, this is the program for her.

Beginners 3 - 5 y.o.

This class offers a playful introduction to rhythmic gymnastics, focusing on body movements, stretching, and handling apparatus like balls, ribbons, hoops, and scarves. It aims to develop coordination, flexibility, and balance, with participants performing in the Annual December and End-of-the-year Gala Shows.

Recreational 6+ y.o.

This class is designed for beginners or those not interested in competition. It covers basic rhythmic gymnastics techniques, including stretching, body conditioning, and creative movement, along with apparatus skills using hoops, balls, ribbons, and ropes. Participants will showcase their skills in the Annual December and End-of-the-year Gala Shows.

Competitive 6+ y.o.

Our competitive program is open to girls ages 6 and up, and is geared towards athletes looking to progress and excel in the sport through a competitive environment.

About us

New York Rhythmic Gymnastics is a place for both recreational and competitive gymnasts to receive highly professional training and enhance their physical development. Our program combines elements of gymnastics, ballet, acrobatics, and dance. Our gymnasts learn to use various apparatuses: rope, ball, hoop, clubs, and ribbon, in choreographed routines set to music.
New York Rhythmic Gymnastics was founded by Oksana Vovk and Janna Lipman in 2014.

Coaches

Janna Lipman – Master of Sport in Rhythmic Gymnastics from Russia. She began her rhythmic coaching career with kids in the year 1987. In 1993 she finished the Institute of Physical Education in Volgograd and
afterward has worked as a trainer in Italy and Israel. She has been coaching in the United States since 2001.
Oksana Vovk – Master of Sport in Rhythmic Gymnastics from the Ukraine.
Oksana was a competitive gymnast until the age of 17. She has been coaching in the United States since 2007.
